PEACE WORK AS DREAM WORKTM
Dreamwork & Conflict Transformation
Aimee is a Certified Dream Work Facilitator with the Marin Institute for Projective Dream Work, and a certified archetypal consultant. Her research explores conflict transformation at the intersection of politics, psychology, and spirit. Peace Work as Dream Workᵀᴹ, Aimee’s most recent body of work, uses projective group dreamwork to explore conflict as a waking dream.
Conflict is no longer something happening “out there.” It shows up in our conversations, our communities, and often within ourselves—shaping what feels possible and what feels stuck. In a time of rapid change and deepening division, many of us find ourselves caught inside stories that narrow imagination and limit our capacity to respond. The key to surviving and thriving in this moment means learning to negotiate change and transform the conflict rising around us.
Dreams speak the language of symbol and metaphor. They reflect our inborn creativity and can help us access the deeper truths and insights that lie beyond the purely rational mind. At a moment when much of the world seems to defy logic, dreamwork can be a powerful tool for navigating uncertainty.
Peace Work as Dream Workᵀᴹ uses projective group dreamwork to explore conflict—from interpersonal to international—as a waking dream. In waking life, we often accept limits we would never accept in dreams. By approaching conflict as a waking dream, we can loosen those constraints, widen the imagination, and discover new ways forward.
This practice explores a different way of meeting conflict—one grounded in curiosity—and supports a creative relationship to conflict that can be lived and applied across the many domains of our lives.

Transformative Negotiation: Reimagining Conflict
Through Narration and Dream Work
The Esalen Institute
November 6 - 8, 2026
I’m delighted to be teaching a new class with Sarah Federman at the Esalen Institute this November. Together, we will explore a different way of meeting conflict — one that begins with curiosity.
We will listen for the narratives that shape our experience and engage the imagination as a resource for transformation, exploring how conflict can be approached not only as a story we tell, but as a waking dream.
In this integrated approach, narration and dreamwork move together to reveal how meaning is made, how it can shift, and how new pathways can emerge if we loosen our grip on a single way of seeing.
Topics include:
-
Conflict Narration and Transformation
-
Peace Work as Dream Workᵀᴹ
Together, these practices invite a spacious and creative relationship to conflict that can be lived and applied across the many domains of our lives.
At the intersection of spirit and praxis, this workshop takes a dignity-centered approach and unfolds through a blend of lectures and experiential group work, providing concrete tools for personal and professional use.
